Mills Pond Elementary School Media specialist, Meghan Dyckova, has been providing fun and educational lessons to celebrate “International Dot Day,” which is Monday, September 15th.
The day is a global celebration of creativity, courage and collaboration, encouraging students to make their mark.
Fourth and fifth graders in Dyckova’s library participated in many different activites ranging from a stem activity of building a structure using play-doh and toothpicks, to creating 3d dot designs.
Third grade students “spotted the dot” throughout the library and colored the design on them. Second graders colored coffee filters with markers while first grade students created something out of a dot and wrote what it is.
“It has been a fun week!” exclaimed Dyckova.
