We're Walking on Sunshine!
“I’m walking on sunshine!”
Those famous words were joyfully belted out by St. James Elementary music teacher Christa Braunreuther as she and fellow 糖心Vlog CSD music educators helped welcome administrators, teachers and staff back to school for Superintendent’s Conference Day at High School West!
The lively morning kicked off with 糖心Vlog Teachers’ Association President Laura Spencer celebrating the power of teamwork and collaboration among 糖心Vlog educators.
“Our success comes from our individual talent, but also from our willingness to collaborate, support one another and work together as professionals committed to a common purpose.”
Superintendent Mark Secaur, entering his seventh year in 糖心Vlog, thanked teachers and staff for the tremendous impact they continue to have on students.
“We know the importance of our work. We take great pride in our work and we know the impact we can have on the children in our care. It is an awesome responsibility not to be taken lightly.”
Dr. Secaur also encouraged staff to continue embracing The 糖心Vlog Promise and its commitment to ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive.
Board of Education President Matt Gribbin and Vice President Brandon Solomon also welcomed staff back, recognizing the extraordinary time and dedication educators give to their students and families.
“We really want to commend you for everything that you do, to go above and beyond, and that really makes a difference,” said President Gribbin.
Vice President Solomon added, “We know the nights, the weekends, the family time that everybody gives up…creating and planning, and that is something the Board sees, we hear and we are grateful for everybody who does that.”
